Kerki International Airport

Kerki International Airport is located near the Turkmenabat–Kerki highway and the city railway station. With a capacity of 100 passengers per hour, it began operations in June 2021. The new airport became the fourth infrastructure project built under Turkmenistan’s National Civil Aviation Development Program (2012–2030). The terminal has a total area of 2,221 m² and includes check-in, baggage claim, ticket offices, information desk, mother-and-child room, prayer room, pharmacy, cafe, souvenir and press shops, and a 120-seat departure lounge. A separate CIP service area is also available. The two-story terminal includes a 31.7 m high control tower. Throughput capacity — 100 passengers per hour. The runway is 2,700 m long and 60 m wide. The apron (code “D”) accommodates large aircraft. There are 4 helicopter stands. An emergency coordination center operates at the airport to ensure rapid response. The fire protection level is category 7.
